 Living in Baja

Living in Baja California has been a dream come true for thousands of expatriate Americans. They have been lured to Mexico by the beauty of the beaches, the laid back lifestyle, and the low cost of living. It used to be that the majority of Americans living in the Baja area were retired seniors. They have come looking for a house for sale in Rosarito, to have a better lifestyle in their retirement. However, today, not only are many people retiring to the area, but there are many young professionals who are moving to Playas and Rosarito. They are finding that they can find a much nicer house for rent in Rosarito, than a comparable place in San Diego, for less than half the money. It makes commuting back and forth well worth it, to be able to enjoy the atmosphere found in the beach communities.

The area between Ensenada, Rosarito, and Playas is beautiful, with access to wonderful beaches, and many scenic views. There are many gated subdivisions, with security guards, which are very quiet and safe places to live. There are a lot nearby stores for shopping, including Walmart, Home Depot, Office Max, and the super markets of Calimax, and Comercial Mexicana. To top things off, there are an abundance of very nice eating establishments in the area. Honestly, this is a very nice area to live.

Baja real estate is beautiful and much less expensive than building sites and lots in the US. Also, the costs of construction is a lot lower, as the cost of labor, materials, and building permits are a fraction of the costs is California. In Mexico, you can truly build the home of your dreams.
